Here at Health Care HR we are a dedicated team working together to provide the best standards of service in the healthcare industry. We provide healthcare thcare industry.ting, dedicated team working together to work towards staffing and recruitment in a professional and committed manner. As we work closely with other medical recruitment agencies, we deal with several different medical needs and wants therefore it is up to us to deliver the best service.
All the clients we deal with have different healthcare issues that need to be addressed on a daily basis. We have to be strict and proficient when recruiting medical staff. This is to ensure that the staff fit the role of the client’s specific requirements.
For instance, we may be required by a client to find staff to help look after people who may be suffering with Parkinson’s. Here at Health Care HR, we have the task of finding a candidate which will be suitable for this role in particular.
Parkinson’s is a major healthcare issue as 1 in every 500 people already have Parkinson’s; this is a very devastating disease, especially if you or a family member is going through this. The disease tends to be common in those that are roughly over the age of 50. The symptoms off this disease occur when certain levels of chemicals in the brain become too low. There are alternative ways of coping with the disease; therapy has been an option to help people cope.
If therapy is an option, the therapist would provide advice on ways to cope. There are exercises, plus several treatments, to help the symptoms the individual is experiencing, making it feel less difficult to cope with. Another form of therapy is complementary therapy. This involves acupuncture, massage therapy and aromatherapy. It has been said that these methods have helped several patients to feel calm and relaxed. However, this method has not been proven to have a definite say whether or not it is effective.
Prescribed drugs help a person going through Parkinson’s however all medications can cause side effects. Symptoms that a person may think they are having due to Parkinson’s can sometimes just be the side effects of the medication they are on. Along with taking other treatments patients can receive additional counselling in order for them to feel as though they are not alone and that there is help is out there in order to cope with this illness they are experiencing.
Even though this Parkinson’s disease is not fatal it still has distressing effects on the individual who is suffering from this disease as it shortens your life span with the difficulties and hardships that come from the disease such as, dysphasia (this is when you start having issues when trying to swallow) tremors and shaking, stiffness in joints, speech problems. These are only a handful of symptoms of how the disease can affect someone physically. People suffering from Parkinson’s are also more prone to developing dementia. However, it doesn’t necessarily affect everyone that is suffering with Parkinson’s disease.
These are just some of the main factors of the illness/disease that we need to know about thoroughly to ensure that when we recruit we find a candidate who has the relevant knowledge of this particular illness, as then, when they are placed into work they will know how to correctly look after someone who has this specific disease, our healthcare staff will know exactly how to treat and look after the patient.
Therefore, as a healthcare recruitment agency, it is up to us to make sure we find the right staff that have the correct knowledge of these illnesses/diseases that people are going through on a regular basis. We have to have in-depth knowledge about the healthcare industry; this is to ensure that we get a feel for what our clients require, and as we know all the relevant facts about illnesses, we can make sure that the staff that we provide are suitable for the current employers needs and that of the patients needing the treatment and care we offer.
