Here are a few fun facts about our ears/ hearing! Did you know that the ears have three small bones in which help to form the structure of them, these are called the malleus, incus and stapes, these are the smallest bone within our bodies, all three combined could easily fit onto a penny. Our ears never stop working they even carry on their duties during our sleep! Sound travels up to the speed of 1,130 feet per second, making that 770 miles per hour. Our ears not only allow us to hear but actually help to co-ordinate our balance, this is why many people find their balance to be a little of when suffering from an ear infection. We all love going to see our favorite bands with our friends and we all want to get as up close and personal as possible however what many a person don’t realise is just how badly they are exposing they’re ears to serious damage, sitting in front of the speakers can expose your ears to around 120 decibels, this volume can begin to cause damage to your hearing after a measly 7 minutes.
