Most people locate our conscious mind roughly around the back of our eyes, our conscience almost seems as though we are harboring a small person in which controls our mind & body. Although we are all fully aware of the fact that this is not the case, our consciousness seem’s as though it has its very own independent existence, deciding the function of both our mind and body on a daily basis. In reality a large proportion of control comes from our unconscious. Many tasks in which we carry out actually occur automatically after years of practice, stored in our memory from routine. Meaning at some point we no longer have to think about our actions as we simply go ahead with it. When this happens the process is handled by one of the most primitive parts of our brain, this is extremely close to our brain stem. Surprisingly even an action in which is clearly conscious… For example: Picking up an object in which you require, is still linked to unconscious thinking. Our brains fire up even before we make a decision to act. There is continuous conflict when it come to the argument of when our conscious mind plays its part however it is without a doubt our unconscious mind in which we owe allot more to.
